Planning Committee
Planning Committee Some planning applications are determined by our Planning Committee. These are normally the more major or controversial proposals. Our Planning Committee Explained leaflet explains why some applications are decided at Planning Committee, what happens at Planning Committee, what happens at a site visit and what happens after a decision has been made by the Committee. Our Scheme of Delegation sets out what applications are normally dealt with by Planning Committee and which are dealt with under delegated powers by an authorised Officer of the Council. Our Scheme of Delegation is discretionary and we may choose to report any application to Planning Committee. Our Planning Committee (member details below) normally meet every four weeks and the dates of forthcoming meetings and are set out below. Please note, the agenda for the forthcoming meeting will be available for viewing 5 working days before the date of the relevant committee and committee decisions will be available as soon as possible on the morning of the day after each Committee. If you have any further comments to make on the applications included, these must be received by us by noon on the day before the Committee.
