Major Planning Applications
A major planning application is defined as:
Residential development comprising 10 or more dwellings OR if the number of
dwellings is unknown, the site area is 0.5 hectare or more; or
Any other uses where the floorspace proposed is 1,000 square metres or more or if the site area is one hectare or more.
Major planning applications are given 13 weeks in which to be determined as they are more complex and usually require a greater level of consultation and negotiation.
